Blow to the liver area - internal bleeding?!

Hi all
Stupidly I walked into a waist-height gate yesterday evening in the the pitch black dark thinking it was open. The blow to my middle was quite hard and did hurt, and today I have a bruised feeling to that part of my tummy - like between belly button and sternam slightly to the right (liver?!?).
Now I've heard that if you get a blow to your liver or soft torso you can be bleeding internally and not know it.
How likely could this be and should I seek medical help?
Wasn't too concerned till I read about the liver blow.

More likely it's just sore because you hit it. I wouldn't worry.

Walking into a gate isn’t going to cause damage enough for internal bleeding. There’s just no possibility that you could move as fast as that would require with your own foot power. More than likely just tender and bruised.
