A few years ago I painted two skirting boards inside with cuprional woodworm killer. I used a paint brush to apply.

I now can not remember if I wore gloves when doing it. Also I didn't wear a mask but not sure if you need to but window was open.

I am worried I might have got some on me and that will have soaked in my skin and cause some nasty issue like cancer in years to come? I am also worried the fumes will have damaged my body in some way or again cause some nasty disease in the future?

Are these legitimate concerns?

Nope they aren't legitimate concerns to be honest.

I assume you suffer with HA? Are you getting help for that?

Hi,

How can you be so sure they are not legit concerns?

Yes I do and no I am not getting any help for it at the moment

I've used woodworm killers of various brands over the years, both oil and water based and got it on my hands several times.

Permethrin, the active ingredient, is pretty safe in the concentrations used - it is also used in human medicine to treat lice and scabies.

I wouldn't worry about it.

How can you be so sure they are not legit concerns?

Because its like worrying about a one time asbestos exposure years ago that had no real significance.
