I haven’t been here for a while. But my severe anxiety has returned after having a back injury tonight. I was scrubbing my floor and I stood up, the electrical cupboard was above me and I didn’t realise and I slammed my mid back I think just next to my spine against it. I took ibuprofen and iced it. It’s already slightly swollen. I can feel my legs and arms and everything but I read that the swelling after the injury can cause spinal cord compression and I am completely terrified that I will lose functions.
I had a bad lower back injury a couple of years ago and this has brought all those fears back. I did have some numbness straight after that injury and it took several months for it to get better. Thank God it wasn’t long term damage.
