Sore white line on side of tongue

I get mouth ulcers a lot and thought I had another one, but when I looked I noticed a bumpy white line along the side of my tongue (left side only). Of course I googled and every result said tongue cancer. Has anyone else had this and it be anything else?

The area is still sore and I am becoming afraid to eat. Has anyone else had a white line on their tongue and it be nothing? Anyone?

I had this before and was due to the use of (aggressive) mouthwash and drinking too hot coffee. How is your tongue at the moment?

Did you contact your doctor? He/she can take a look at it and calm you. Do not search on Google because it only will give scary results.

I can't get in to see my doctor until January 15th :(

And the dentist? Maybe you can explain to them that you, because of the sore white line become afraid to eat?
