Chlorpromazine 25mg

My Phsychiatrist has prescribed Chlorpromazine 25mgto start Monday 6 Dec .

My anxiety symptoms are sever , too many to list .:ohmy:

I feel so messed up i,ll try anything .

Anyone been on this medication ?

Chlorpromazine is an antipsychotic which I'm assuming has been prescribed to stabilizer your mood. Not a first line anxiety treatment, but useful in some cases of severe anxiety. 25mg is a small dose.

Thank you for that information . Im obsessed with side effects and I know every human being reacts differently but I need to look after my wife so cant be floored by this medication. I really need to drive her to appointments ,do grocery shop , chemist etc etc .Any general information would be appreciated .

The dose range for psychosis is 500-2,000mg/day with a starting dose of 75mg/day either in a single dose or 3 split doses so 25mg is unlikely to be too sedating, but maybe take the first dose a couple of hours before bed to see how it affects you.
