View Full Version : Worried this is appendicitis or blood clot?

So for the last 8-9 days or so I’ve been almost bed ridden until yesterday because I had COVID. Finally doing better but I have this weird pain in my lower right belly closer to the groin/pelvic area, when I press on the groin it’s a bit sore. I also have this pain in my right upper thigh, which I think is due to being in bed for so long and then yesterday I did a little bit of walking.

The groin pain kind of comes and goes, it almost feels like gas but I know it isn’t. I didn’t have any pain in the belly button area like I read is a sign of appendicitis. But worried the because the groin area isn’t too far :(

I’m just scared COVID may be either causing a blood clot from laying in bed, or appendicitis.

Anxious, you keep on feeding your HA monster by googling... It will not get better until you take steps to change it. If you randomly googled symptoms of say, a rare neurogical disease I can guarantee you would soon enough find that you have those symptoms. That's how HA works...

You keep on looking for symptoms and feeding your anxiety, and afterwards you look for reassurance. You realise this is a vicious circle, don't you?

You’re very right :(
Today the pains went away anyways, the leg pain and all of that is gone. I also haven’t been feeling the groin pain. Keeping myself busy!

It’s crazy what our minds can do to us

It is crazy... On the plus side, if we can convince ourselves that we are very ill, we can also convince ourselves of nearly anything positive! :)
