Could this be skin cancer?

I just noticed this sort of flat, red, scabby-looking thing a little bit above my left hip. It's painless and not itchy. Also, I'm 21 years old and male.

Does it look like skin cancer? I'll book a doctor's appointment for this week but in the meantime I just want to see what everyone thinks.

You can't tell by a photo if something is skin cancer. You have to have a biopsy done.

We can’t give out medical advice, have you scratched down there at all??

How long has it been there? Have you tried something like sudo cream?

I think if it’s worrying you it’s always good to get it checked out. The doctor will be able to give further advice and refer you to a dermatologist if needed.
