For everyone for whom-for whatever reason-Mother's Day tomorrow (UK) will be a painful and challenging day.

It will soon be over:hugs:

Thank you Pulisa.

It's 32 years since I lost my Mum so I'm hardened to all the Mother's Day hype and commercialisation but for others it's really hard so I just wanted to acknowledge this xx

I lost my mother in 2008, just as Mrs. PM was about to leave hospital after a five month stay.

Fifteen months later, Mrs. PM died herself - today (27/3) is the twelfth anniversary of this event.

Yesterday my sister sent me a text message saying "Are you going to put some flowers on Mum? We're off to a beer festival". I came very close to saying "why don't you forfeit a round of beer and put some on her yourself?"

I'm so sorry that your sister's message was so insensitive especially as today must be incredibly painful for you.

Thanks to so many of you :)

9.27pm came and went. I made sure I was eating her favourite Chinese and watching Star Trek at that time. She'd have liked that.

Now I'm off to bed as work beckons in the morning, assuming I'm not Covid positive.
