Hard lump on temporomandibular joint

So as usual, I’ve found something new to panic about. Now I noticed this a year and 5 months ago, and I assumed it was a brain tumor but I had a mri of my Brain and they said there was nothing there.


Well I noticed the lump again, it’s probably been here this whole time. It hurts when I push it. About the size of a small peanut. Hard and doesn’t move.

It’s right at the tm joint just infront of my ear. Next to the Tragus. It hasn’t gotten bigger but on my right side it’s flat. My left ear is where the lump is. I heard it could be salavry cancer. Or lymphoma. I’m absolutely panicking and have to wait till Monday for my doctors appointment.

I don’t think it can be anything bad if you’ve already had an mri? Also if it’s been there for a while. But, as a try and point out anywhere I’m completely out of my depth, I’m not a dr.

There’s nothing you can do to speed up the wait, all i can recommend is that you try some mindfulness tactics and relaxation exercises to keep you calm.
