Hi, I'm new to No More Panic and I guess just wondering where to start. It's been a really rough 10 years for me - I grew up anxious and depressed without really knowing it. I lost my mum in 2018 while being in an emotionally abusive relationship with a man for 6 years - I left the relationship 2 weeks after my mum died. Through all that I've studied two degrees and just coming to the end of my second one now. I daydream too much, to the point where it's depersonalizing and takes me out of reality for a little bit, and that scares me and induces panic and anxiety. Has anyone else got this problem or is it just me?
I'm on anti-depressants, have been through CBT but couldnt engage with it.
Will I ever be normal? Is this a safe place where I wont be judged?

Normal is a myth, and for the most part, so are safe places. With that said, people here are genuinely friendly and want to help one another be stronger and feel better.

I'm currently not where you are, but I certainly have been. Pulling myself back has been hard work, and takes pretty much constant maintenance. If I can do it, though, so can you.

I'd strongly recommend looking at the free self-help resources here; they can help you get to a point where therapy might be easier to take on board. Sending positive vibes your way.
