Involuntary sharp intake of breath, paradoxical breathing

Im getting this a lot lately, all of a sudden i take a sharp breat in without knowing its going to happen and it startles me!
Its called paradoxical breathing but my doc doesn't seem concerned, anyone else ever get this? and did you get s diagnosis /treatment.

I've had this before. Resolved on its own after a while. Never went to docs. Didn't know official term.
