Went to a water park with my family this weekend- standard one with slides etc/ clear water, smelled like chlorine… not natural untreated water… tons of water went up nose throughout the day…odds of brain eating amoeba? Afraid the pool wasn’t treated.. or diet was tracked around into water on everyone’s feet… irrational?

Yes, irrational. If the pool smelled like chlorine there is no chance that anything is surviving there, and waterparks tend to overtreat with chlorine to make up for the extra traffic.

Even in "natural" waters, brain eating amoebas are really rare; they are all but impossible in a waterpark environment. I hope you had fun!

Yes totally irrational

Are you treating the REAL problem here - the HA?

You are statistically much more likely to die from being electrocuted plugging your computer in to post this question than you are from a brain eating amoeba. Like, more than one person in the U.S. dies from electrocution per day where as only like 30 something die per decade in the U.S.

I understand the fear but there is nothing to worry about.
