Can ADHD meds be taken as and when? Like if you’ve starting a new job and need to concentrate more for the first few weeks?

I believe they can.
My son is on medikinet (methylphenidate) and the nurse practitioner told us that they don't have to build up in your system like antidepressants, and so can be taken as and when. He doesn't tend to take them on school days, and that is fine she said :)
