Friday I developed severe pain in the lower abdominal region. I went to an er and was given a ct scan to which my appendix didn’t show up on. Er doc talked to surgeon and surgeon had me admitted that night to keep me under evaluation. Met with surgeon Saturday morning and the physical examination still seemed like appendicitis to him but blood work was fine.
He had talked about cutting in to look at the appendix but I didn’t want that if it wasn’t necessary. That night I had another ct scan to which my appendix showed no inflammation. He said I could either stay that night, or be discharged if I wanted. I picked being discharged. I wasn’t given an explanation of what was originally causing the pain.
Now I’m worrying if I made the right decision of leaving or if I should’ve stayed. I’m still in a lot of pain and it hasn’t showed much sign of alleviating.
