Hi,

I just did my blood pressure because my grandma has one of the monitoring device things, and it was 185/130. I read that this is an emergency.

I知 21, I知 depressed, my diet is very bad, I think I知 overweight (though I知 tall) and I don稚 exercise.

I知 extremely worried now. What do I do? Do I need to be as concerned as I am?

I just took it again and it was 120/69

Don't worry, if it's 120/69 now it's fine.

I would "lose" the monitoring device if I were you, Toby..

They are notoriously inaccurate, many of these home devices ! Unless you get it spot on in line with the heart, and follow all their details directions.....and even then.......

A slightly wrong cuff tightness or an arm 2 degrees up or down and then you'll have something wildly wrong, there are too many variables that seem to affect them. I know there are more reliable devices, and people who are monitoring their BP (for legitimate reasons!) are given them, but as Pulisa said above - DITCH it or don't use it.

You can do something very easily that will affect you positively - instead of spending time using some device..... do some exercise, sort your diet etc
