Fear of mouth cancer

I notice a small red spot on the roof of my mouth about 3 weeks ago. I tried not to check this but today i did. It's still there 3 weeks later, it not bigger remains the same. I does not hurt and i can not feel it with my tongue. It triggered a massive panic attack. Of course I will call my dentist on Monday. I am 41 so I tell myslef mouth cancer is unlikely at my age and i don't smoke. I tell myself surely it would have been gotten worse if it is mouth cancer ?

Any support will be great it feels such a long wait until Monday when i can speak with a dentist

Sounds like simple trauma, perhaps a busted blood vessel? I don't know a lot about oral cancer, despite having personally gone through that fear in the past, but I don't think it sounds serious at all. Please do call your dentist, as they can put any concerns to rest, but try to think rationally and positively. It sounds harmless, and if by some odd chance it isn't, you'll be right on top of it.
