Woke up and my chin hurts

I woke up this morning and the part of my jaw where my chin is, is really tender to touch. I feel there is a little swollen bump on the right side of my chin, and it really only hurts if i touch it. It was not there last night and I woke up this morning and it hurt. If anyone has had any similar experiences I would be grateful to hear them
