So I have had a tiny mark on the back of my arm feels raised when I go over it and feels a little waxy to touch and according to the doctor slightly scaly?? I have been to the doctors about it and she didn’t think it was anything sinister and even said it could be the start of a new mole. But I’ve got myself worked up about it again and I’ve even scrolled through some of my old photos and noticed it there on my arm last year…. I’m scared it’s a type of skin cancer , maybe bowens disease? It’s not itchy or bleeding it’s just there & I don’t know what it is🤷🏻*♀️Doctor wasn’t completely sure and that’s what also worries me. But because of my health anxiety I’m scared I’m not being taken seriously and if I go back again they will tell me it’s nothing again 🫤

Don’t panic- your doctor knows exactly what to look for. Also- I’d recommend going to a skin specialist. They will be more thorough and put your mind to ease xxx

As I've got older, I've developed all kinds of bumps and spots. I have some cherry angiomas the size of Wales (not really) and a couple of skin warts that I've had frozen off (I'm really selling myself here, eh?)

Anyway, I remember my mother having a pea-sized raised waxy lump on her arm (for decades) and it obviously wasn't anything sinister..

If you are really concerned, then ask to be referred to dermatology (you might be in for quite a wait though)

Well it’s defo been there since last year. It’s not so much like a pea sized lump it looks flat but when you run fingers over it feels raised. It’s hard to describe. I might go back to the doctors just to be sure even tho they told me it’s nothing !!! But they are gp’s not dermatologist and that’s what worries me. Maybe I should ask to be referred for peace of mind.

Sooo I went to the Doctors. They are still unsure and she had to get another doctor to come look for another option and she thought it was fine. I’ve been given some steroid cream cause the other doctor said it looks like there’s a slight freckle and then just redness around it?? So far the cream has done nothing. But I’ve had three doctors tell me it doesn’t look sinister so maybe it’s time I just listen even tho it’s so hard to
