I am scared of tetanus

My cat bite me and I went to the hospital and they didn't want to give me a tetanus shot even though when I called an emergency line a nurse said that I should go get it and sent me there. She said that despite being vaccinated in May, I should get another dose and then next month again and then after six months again. They said I don't need anything because I received everything in childhood (I can't know that) and in May again.
I was vaccinated in 2105, 2016 and now.
I was fighting with them a lot, I never fight with the doctors but I was because I am really scared.
What are the chances of getting tetanus?

Tetanus shots, at least here in the US, last at least 10 years. It sounds like you are more than covered. The biggest thing with a cat bite is to just keep it clean so that it doesn't get infected.
