Worried about my grandad

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the best place to post but here goes.

My grandad is 95 and this week, went into hospital on Wednesday just gone with dehydration because he had Diarreah. The docs placed him on a drip and let him out the next day. He hasn’t slept comfortably since and even though has started to eat and keep stuff in now, he is very, very tired.
Could this be him declining and his body shutting down or just simply a bad stomach? I obviously don’t deal with illness and death well but just wanted to have others views on this situation.

Hi Katy, how's he doing now? It's impossible to say exactly what could be going on, but dehydration, lack of sleep, and lack of good nutrients can certainly make someone feel very tried and under the weather. Hopefully now that his stomach is better he can get on the mend. This kind of stuff can be very hard and scary so it's understandable you'd be upset.
