View Full Version : Abdominal lump

A couple of months ago I noticed a hard lump, maybe a bit smaller than a pea in my abdominal area, near the top abdominal muscle. It feels deep and hard, and is not visible through the skin. Google suggests Lipoma, but my understanding is that these are soft and movable, not hard and deep.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thanks

Hasn't this exact post been made before? I'm talking word-for-word.

It has, I posted it a couple of months ago but there wasn’t a response. Tried to forget about it since then but accidentally felt it again which set off the HA worry train.

Ah yes, I see now.

Well, I have lipomas and what you describe could definitely be a lipoma. Totally benign. My GP has told me mine are best left alone unless they start to cause me discomfort, which they currently do not.

Have you spoken to a doctor?

Thanks for the message - I haven’t yet, will be seeing one in about 2 weeks. Reassuring that you think it could indeed be a lipoma.
