Lingering cough?

Has anyone experienced a cough that lingers for weeks and weeks after your cold is over? I had a bad chest cold the week after thanksgiving but ever since I’ve been totally fine except this annoying dry cough that comes about at night and then in the morning. But I’m fine all day. It’s really annoying but I’m worried.

It's extremely common.

My 14 year old is still coughing at night after a cold he had 3-4 weeks ago, and I've had a cough that lasted several months after a bad chest infection in 2018.

Yes I agree with Ankietyjoe. I've still got a lingering cough which I've had for 6 weeks now. Mainly at nighttime and morning.
