Ultrasound test for DVT

Saw Dr today ? DVT. My d dimer came back positive si she started me on anticoagulants and referred for scan nxt week.
Only read the info now I'm home and it said the scan is groin to knee. Why drsnt it include the calf where the swelling and pain is??
Anybody now? I will ask them when I go, but it is little things like that which I dwell on and it ranks my H A right up a notch!

Hi DL45, my partner had a minor surgery on his DVT a few years back, he was extremely anxious too.
I can't offer any medical advice obviously but what I would suggest is, as hard as it is.. distract yourself until your appt. Be safe in the knowledge that they know what they are doing, and nothing bad is going to happen between now and then.
