Hair loss overnight, one side

I dyed my hair last week after a looong time because I am half grey and I had to. I've noticed today that my hair is missing on one side of a scalp, like a bald patch, it's like when men lose hair but I am a woman and it's just one side. Is it possible that a dye did that? It was a reputable brand of color, not some no name drug store dye.
Do I have alopecia? I am prone to autoimmune diseases. I am really scared.

With you having autoimmune conditions, we don’t know what medication you’re taking. It could be a side effect of them.

But it does seem a bit clear cut here: you dyed your hair and then noticed some was missing.

Dyeing the hair damages it (it doesn’t matter if it’s a reputable brand or not).

Run it past your immunologist or dermatologist next time you see them.

In the meantime, I wouldn’t be worried at all.
