Hello. First post here and I apologize if this is the relevant place to ask but I've spent a week sleepless and I am terrified. It's not about me but my mom. She is in her 60s and for the past several years, like 10-15 to be exact she has an ulcer/sore on her tongue that doesn't heal. I was always terrified of it being oral cancer but she never had any symptoms and still does not to this day but after a particularly rough time period of stress, this wound on her tongue tends to bleed, especially after she is going through stress.
Is it a permanent mouth ulcer, do these even exist or is it something worse?
Again sorry if I'm at the wrong forum but I can't take it anymore.

Could she not see a dentist? They would be able to tell her what it was in an instant.
