Blood in poo 💩

Hi everyone. I went to the bathroom today and noticed quite a lot of blood in the bowl. It was sort of “pooled” on top and not mixed in with the poo. It felt like I have a slightly upset stomach, but obviously I am terrified. Is this something to worry about or is the fact it’s on top of the poo and not mixed in a good sign? It was a red colour. Usually caused by piles but you would need to get a doctor to check that.
