I am extremely worried about my 28 year old son. For the last 6 weeks he has been suffering from diarrhoea and painful stomach cramps. He went to his GP who did stool sample tests which tested positive for campylobacter poisoning. Today he was also told he had blood
in his stool, and a high calprotectin level. He has been referred for a 2 week wait colorectal RAS.
As I have a serious health anxiety I’m so worried this is something serious such as bowel cancer. He’s taking it in his stride but I’m sure he must be worried as well.
Has any of our younger members had this and if so what was the outcome?
