Numbness is left arm, hand etc

Hi
Am frightened. Have strange numbness in left hand and arm, now it feels like its in left side of back. Think I'm having a stroke or heart attack. Hate these different feelings in the early hours of the morning, when I'm alone and scared. I can't explain this one away, like usual because it's getting worse, am I having a stroke or heart attack? OMG I hate this.

Elspeth,

I too hand some weird feeling in my left hand and wrist tonight, it felt like it was very weak and i almost went into a panic but i calmed down and took a nice hot bath and forgot about it and guess what? It went away!

Try to sleep it off and see how you feel in the morning before you worry.. :)

Hi Joe

Thanks for your very quick reply. I feel a bit better, not so anxious and panicky. I think maybe I had slept on it wrong because I had been in bed for about 12 hours, had to get up because my back hurt. I have chronic fatigue so spend a lot of time asleep in bed!
