While I seriously don't intend to lower the mood of this thread, I wonder if the shooting incident in Auckland earlier this morning was connected to the Women's World Cup thing or not, or was it just some random lunatic?

Regardless as to whether or not said atrocity was linked in any way, the WWC event still went ahead as planned, and was a success.

Hats off to them for not cancelling said event given the circumstances.
