Not been on here for ages but finding myself not coping well with my husbands recent illness.
He’s been having terrible pain in his shoulders, hips and thighs and other symptoms for the past five weeks, although this has eased somewhat in the last couple of days. Dr Google (I know ��) says possibly Polymyalgia Rheumaticus (which is a nasty, autoimmune disorder) but also can be indicative of ‘an underlying malignancy/cancer.
He will see GP tomorrow to get results of remaining blood tests - surgery has already contacted him to book in with diabetes nurse as a result of slightly raised blood sugar.
He’s a little worried and I’m terrified and trying not to show it. We’re both in our 60s and have just retired and just want to enjoy some healthy years together
I just wanted to get things off my chest and any advice or reassurance would be very welcome ��
