Help please. Are these ectopic heartbeats?

Please could someone help alleviate my anxiety. Lately I get these weird beats which are like a 'thump'. I get them throughout the day and I am terrified. Each incident is a one off 'thump' and then my heart goes back to normal and then it happens again every hour or so. I am currently wearing a 30 day monitor and these beats will be picked up but my appointment with my cardiologist is in 4 weeks and I can't wait that long.

Sounds just like PVCs which are harmless. Does your monitor have an event button you can press? If so, press the button next time you feel it and keep a log. The monitor will be able to tell you exactly what is causing the sensation.
