I've been having problems with my stomach recently and have another thread here but for a few months I've been having a sharp pain behind my chest on the right hand side that to me feels like it's related to my oesophagus. I had a gastroscopy recently which showed everything was normal and today I thought I was having reflux as I've got a full feeling in my throat like food stuck there but I'm belching lots. Stupidly I juat googled and it said belching can be a symptom of an impending heart attack. I'm not in a great place at the moment with my anxiety and this has sent me into a complete panic. It's not like I have chest pain as such, I'll sometimes just get a sharp pain under the right side of my breastbone. I've had loads or heart tests in the last four years including numerous ecgs, an echo and lots of holter monitors and cardiology has always discharged me. I'm now panicking I've got some kind of heart disease or gastro disease. In the last month I've had a clear abdominal ultrasound and gastroscopy and I'm worrying something has been missed.

I commend you for getting everything checked out.
As for googling? Well you know it will give you the worst case scenario. They have to do that for liable reasons.
Obviously I can't tell you what is causing the pain, maybe have a chat with your GP but I do know that you would be well aware if you were having a HA.

As Carnation said and having had two heart attacks, you wouldn't be here seeking reassurance if you were actually having a heart attack or even the symptoms preceding one. Based on your post history and consulting Dr. Google, I think you know what's up.

My son had pain under his right rib. It was reflux. A course of ppi’s and it went. Belching is far more likely to be associated with reflux.

Seriously though stop googling. Nothing good ever comes from it. You go there for reassurance and come back with every disease known to man.
