Hi,
The 1.5 cm lobulated lump was found when I was 21 yrs, I tested again when I was 25 and the size increased to 2.1 cm, the report suggested fibroadenoma and recommended to follow up next 6 months.
After that I forgot about it until last month (almost 10 years since last exam, Now I am 35 yrs.) Last month I went to test and doctor found the lump still persist which 1.8 cm size. I also did the core needle biopsy and the biopsy result "suggestive of fibroadenoma" and "no malignancy cells seen".
Due to the lump is palpable, doctor suggested to remove it and I ll have a surgery next month. Before the biopsy I never felt this lump by myself but after biopsy I feel the breast is harder than before, the biopsy area also feel lumpy.
I worry about surgery, can the result turn out to be any bad thing except fibroadenoma? I really afraid of cancer (not only breast cancer but every kinds) I also have Health Anxiety OCD for long time. Thanks in advance for answers.
