Tinnitus

I've had tinnitus for about 40 years, I usually hardly notice it. I've now got a new sound, a distant banging, its driving me mad !! My left ear feels blocked and I have reduced hearing. I've started to use some bicarbonate ear drops. I'm worried this is now pulsative tinnitus.
I need to book a doctors appointment.
