Labyrinthitis or middle ear infection?!! Help!!

Hi all, I woke up.in the middle of the night with the loudest ringing in the ear and deafness with a big of dizziness.
Doctor said because I haven't got drainage ( I have a perforated ear drum) and no pain it sounds like labrynthitis. The next day the ringing calmed down but I has awful autophony ( like a microphone going odd when ever I talk). That night I went to bed and ringing came back really loud, autophony stopped but hearing loss and pressure still there.

I'm under an ENT specialist but I can't get in to see him until 28th Feb!

I'm on day 4 and losing the will to live. Have anyone had this ? Will it go? I'm close to going to A&E it's worrying me that much!

Hello. Sad to hear about your problem. It can be scary hearing loss, ringing, and dizziness . But losing hope is not the way you have to be strong man and go to emergency room if symptoms become worsen. Best wishes for you.

Thank you! I did ring the Dr again to see if he'd look in my ear but they've arranged a phone appointment for NEXT FRIDAY. ridiculous. I could have an ear infection.

Thankfully I've got spare ear drops so I'm just going to use them just incase! If no improvement Sunday il have to go to A&E and hope there's an ENT dr there!
