Anyone ever taken Benadryl?

I have bought some Benadryl, for allergies, to see if it helps my extreme dizziness and funny feelings and sounds in ears. Bit too scared to take it as i have reactions to any med's that i take, so just wondered if anyone had ever taken it and if it had been ok for them.

I can't take it as I am on medication for high blood pressure. I took it once and it effected my breathing and had to go to local hospital to be checked out. I was fine though.

If you are on any other medication then I would get the GP to check it all first.

Oh the breathing thing was specifically cos of the other medication I was on and nothing else so don't let that put you off please.

It even said on the leaflet about not taking it with blood pressure meds - I didn't read that till afterwards though - doh!
