Hi everyone , I just wanted to shout from the roof tops today because ENT have told me today that I have a condition called BPPV ,
and this is what is causing all my dizzy problems.

The good news hopefully is they can do something about it ,
they cant cure it because it will come back but they can mae it go away for weeks or months by doing a head move on me to put the crystals back in place in my inner ear.

I'm happy that you have been diagnosed Mirry but would you mind telling me what BPPV stands for and what crystals are they putting back in your inner ear, I'm confused? So glad they can help you though, you sound so relieved.

Love,

Laura

Hi Laura, Bppv is when you move your head to look up or down ,left to right ,roll over in bed ect you get a strong spinning sensation.
Then your left feeling very off balanced nearly constantly.
The problem is , the crystals in the ear get loose and float into the ear canal , where they shouldnt be (piglet any idea what crystal this might be ? lol).
In february they are gona teach me how to put the crystals back in place by doing certain head movements then sitting up for 24 hours.
It doesnt cure it but keeps the problem at bay until it comes back again. Then you have to repeat it.

Honeybee, youve made my day calling me a lovely person :D , bless you :hugs: . When I spoke to the specialist he told me anxiety gives a light headed feeling when anxious but not Balance problems like i have (cant walk straight and get a spinning feeling), He said maybe i should think about using a stick, but i dont want to cos i feel its like giving in to this. My next appointment is ,11th feb :yesyes:

Hi Mirry,

I am pleased to hear that you have finally been diagnosed and YES, they can do something about it. I have seen this done, tilting the head in certain ways to move the floaters back away from the certain part of the ear, yes, they can float back again but repeating the head movements, gets rid of it again.

Ohh I seen this done on, mmm It was on a hospital programme on tv, I think it was in st Thomes's hospital in London.

You take care
