View Full Version : Hugs for Dying_Swan she's in hospital!!
Hi All
Can we please all give some hugs to Mary as she is in hospital at the moment. I got a message from her last night on msn but wasn't around to talk to her, she said she was taken in with abdominal pains and has to stay in for a while and she will be in touch as soon as she can.
I don't know much more than that really and I have no way of contacting her while she is in there but think it will be nice when she comes out to see how much we all miss her and wish her well.

Awwwwww you guys bring a tear to my eye! Thanks so much all, and thanks to Carrot for starting this off.
I'm now home at last. I got taken in half way through a night shift on Saturday...and as usual, diagnosed with Appendicitis. This is the second time I've had an (incorrect) diagnosis of Appendicitis!
I probably shouldn't go into too much detail here....all a bit gruesome. I was rushed into hospital earlier in the year with a ruptured ovarian cyst. It seems I have grown cysts on both my ovaries again :weep: which is why I was in pain. They tried to drain them this morning (really horrid) but the procedure failed. I was given one hour to decide whether I wanted Surgery or Hormone meds....great. So I've opted for the meds for now (and didn't mention to the Surgeon that I'm going for a second opinion....) I think it will mean surgery later on, but at least I don't have to be in hospital for Christmas.
Anyway, thanks again for all the hugs and good wishes. Really appreciated!

Well the Consultant appointment just threw me into an even bigger dilemma really. He was very nice and thorough, but didn't really listen to me as I would have liked.
He thinks I need to go onto some god awful medication which was the last thing I wanted. It is a medication which puts you into the menopause (temporarily), and the side effects are so awful you have to take HRT at the same time. You also have to have bone scans as it gives you Osteoporosis. I'm 24!:lac:
Not really a happy bunny at the moment and don't know which way to turn :weep:
