Your sales must be better than in tamworth, i went to next, and marks and spencers, in a word it was crap, i think they have empted the ware house of suff from last summer, and just any old stuff that they could not sell at a car boot. I was chuffed to bits with what i had for christmas anyway.Glad you managed to get your bargains.Happy new year to you mirry .:hugs:

I took one look at the news of our local shopping centre and bottled out. No sales for me - at least not until next week and at 9am as the doors open rather than with the mad throng!!! Wenjoy xxx

Happy Feet and I were at the M+S sale at 5 am with the huge crowd that had been gathering since 4.30 !! What fun we had. It was brill, nicking other peoples trolleys and watching grown men fight over a suit jacket and then relaliate by stealing out of each others trolleys.

Gary said it was the strangest way of spending 300 quid he's ever known and didn't even have to wake up or even dream that he had 3 new suits and a whole host of other bits, they just arrived as if by magic whilst he slept!

Best bargain - A full DJ suit for £ 24.00.

Well a heaving, crowded city centre was just where I absolutely did not want to be today!!

But, when you get the call from your eldest daughter (who's a pc and does really akward shifts!) to meet her in town in an hour (even though you'd planned a lazy day and are still in your dressing gown at 12.00noon).....how can you possibly say 'no' to her??

Therefore.....I have proved that is is physically possible to have a bath (including shaving your legs and armpits!) wash your hair, brush your teeth, dry your hair, get dressed, put your make-up on and be out the door in precisley 52.5 minutes!!! http://iesmileys.com/img/jumping/iesmileys1001.gif (http://iesmileys.com/)

Crowds were horrendous, shops were hot and stuffy, and the RR was in me other handbag on the kitchen chair at home:ohmy: !!! But............

wot bargains did GG avail herself of ??!!!!!:yesyes: courtesy of Debenhams (am I allowed to advertise??)

1. A Wallis blouse - black with ruffle (Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen style!) for £15...half price!
2. A leather belt less than half price for £4
3. Black and pewter beads (with matching earrings!) for £4...less than half price
(that's my new year sorted then!)

4. Capuccino coloured top for £5....half price
5. Lovely 'feminine items' from La Zensa .....half price

Well worth the aggro I think eh?:shades: http://iesmileys.com/img/happy/iesmileys0763.gif (http://iesmileys.com/)

And....when I got home I took great pleasure in saying to dahling hubby ...."darling, I have saved you soooo much money today!" http://iesmileys.com/img/love/iesmileys1053.gif (http://iesmileys.com/)

And all this from someone who hates :lac: going into town with a vengeance lol !!!

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I started buying sale stuff on 20th December when the VIP Next sale started. I got a lovely sequin top reduced from £45 to £15 and some half price dresses for my granddaughter. The good thing about the Next VIP sale is that you get the pick of the sale stuff before it goes online.

On Christmas Day I went onto the M&S and John Lewis websites and ordered some lovely half price candles and a calendar from M&S and a new dinner service from John Lewis.

The only time I ventured into the shops was in the evenings. I did pop along to John Lewis the first evening of the sales but quite honestly it was easier buying the stuff online.
