I have a cold at the moment (or strep which ill find out when I finally get to the doctors on monday) and I have also had what feels like an increased heartbeat, sometimes it feels like it is tight pumping away in my chest, checking my pulse shows it sometimes over 90 sometimes just over eighty. Can having a cold make me feel like this or could it be something different?
Despite having the cold I don't have a cough, just a very sore throat right down to my chest, sneezes and runny nose!
