Hiya

been doing CBT since september now and i can honestly say.........................................i'm no different:weep: . I understand my anxiety better and i can see where it all leads BUT i'm no different. You ask me how anxiety effects the body and i know the answer. Negative thought patterns .......no problems. I have pie charts & diagrams, lots of literature. I've read the book, seen the documentery and worn the tee shirt (bloody good i look in it too:winks: ). I am actually thinking of becoming a CBT therapist.
BUT I still check and google and worry. I have had the will power to quit smoking & loose weight but not stop 'the checking'.
I am offically a lost cause.

Hi Vicki hun :hugs: I too did not benefit from my CBT. I would have been ok if I could have had the therapist in my pocket 24/7 :) but sadly it doesnt work like that eh. Please don't call yourself a lost cause ok :hugs: I think your just fab dopey mind but fab although I wouldnt leave you to babysit my tomato plants :wacko: xxxxx

HEY VICKI YOU ARE NOT A LOST CAUSE BY ANY MEANS.. CBT DIDNT WORK FOR ME EITHER HE SAID I TALKED TO MUCH WTF DOES THAT MEAN LOL....I THINK IT COMES TO A TIME WHERE WE ALREADY READ THAT BOOK LISTENED TO THAT AUDIO ECT....THAT YOU YOURSELF AS ME...HAVE TO JUST COPE WITH IT AND YES IT DOES GET BETTER FOR ME NO ONE CAN TELL ME ANYTHING I DONT ALREADY KNOW ABOUT THIS....AND BELIEVE ME HUN IVE COME A LONG WAYYYYYYYYY...STILL HAVE MY BOUTS OF ANXIETY HERE AND THERE BUT I WAS AGRAPHOBIC AT ONE TIME SO GOES TO SHOW PEOPLE WE CAN ALL DO THIS.I WISH YOU WELL HUN........LINDA XX
