Hi, I have been having a nerve jumping just under my left eye for nearly 2 weeks now and it's driving me mad, I can look in the mirror and see it, at first it didnt bother me too much it was just annoying but now i'm worried because it has been going on for so long that it is something more serious! Has anyone else had this and had it go on for so long?

I get it too but it usually goes once I calm down and do some breathing exercises.

It is the nerves.

Oh I hate when that happens!!! I get it for days at a time and usually start to panic on the third or fourth day. But without fail it does go away. Hope yours goes away soon!!!

Hi,

I have had this too. It is always my left eye and it twitches just next to my eyebrow! It is very annoying and can sometimes last for weeks on end, but it does always go away in the end. Try not to worry as I'm sure it's nothing serious.

HEHE, so are we all victim to the twitching eye lol?! I once pestered everyone about this because in the last couple of years really I put up with it constantly. I'm told it's just a nervous response and you'd be surprised how many people get it, and very often!! (I got so fed up with it I almost did a city-wide survey!) Tis bloody annoying though especially if you're trying to talk to someone quite seriously and suddenly there it goes bobbing up and down at 10 miles an hour :-)

this is a question i am asking my specialist this monday ,
I have had eye twitching for the past 4 years on and off , always thought it was nerves , but when I had the test for nystagmus (jumping of the eyes) when in a certain position and it was positive , my left eye was twitching like mad at the same time.
So was it related or just a coincedence ?

I will let you know what he says.

I had this for Months when I was younger, and I mean months! it just twitched and twitched and twitched. After a while I forgot it was twitching but people would actually point it out to me. It just eventually went away on it's own. But when I am seriously stressed it comes back and my eyes go funny then go again after a couple of weeks.

I am sure it's nothing bad hope it goes away soon maybe try not to strain yours eyes to much, make sure your computer screen is well lit and turn the light on when you watch tv. Sometimes this helps me.

Take care,
Janie
