Hey everyone sorry I haven't been a very active member recently, been kinda busy getting organised for my travels...:wacko:
And now the time has come for me to actually go! I fly to London Heathrow from Edinburgh tomorrow at 1pm then I have a 5 hour wait until I fly to Vancouver. The second half of my journey will take 9 hours!:ohmy:
I don't know how often i'll be able to get online but I will try and keep you informed now and then.
So I'll talk to you all from the other side of the world, thats if your in the UK:winks:

Hey guys!
How are we all? I have been here two full days nows and its AMAZING!!! :yesyes:
The journey here went very smoothly, no pick pokets, no missing flights and surprisinglu no getting lost! :D I even got a free Mojito at London Heathrow:flowers: As we were taking off from London, I was excited but surprisingly nervous too. Not because of flying but going so far away whwre I am the one who is in control, where I don't know whats going to happen, I cant just go to a mates house for a cuppa. But Already I feel more confident and even excited about traveling on to my next destination next week.:shades:
Today my cousin took me to see some of the beauty of Victoria. We first went to Whitty's Bay (i think thats what its called) and another place along a salmon run It is just unreal of how beautiful it is! Everything is so HUGE:ohmy: and coulours are so vibrant, like someone has painted everything with bright luminous coulours. Th e best part is, it is so peaceful. At the second place I saw a few eagles (as you do) , but they were too far away to photograph. It was just so......I Cant even think of a word that fits , Its just soooooooo cool. I actually feel happy. Its wierd feeling happy when one is used to feeling low all day every day. But it's hard to feel low in a kind of paradice! My cousins are awesome we have a good banter and everything is so relaxed. I have some photos but I don't know how to upload them right now.. All in good time
Anyways thats enough from me, not sure when I will be online again so take care everyone,

quick update...
Arrived in Salmon arm at 21:05 last night canadian time soooo snowy!!!! and cold but so beautiful. will go in to more detail another time, Have to go just now, miss you and thinking of you xxx

how are you? Im ok, been here in Salmon Arm for almost a week now. The bus journey from victoria went well, I didnt get lost or loose anything but I broke my earphones...again. de ja vous or what! lol. the view was just phenominal when we started to go up in to the mountains; I've never seen so much snow in my life! And as the sun began to set on the mountains it was breath taking!
Bill and Colleen are really nice people but they have alot of mental health issues so I feel I must be wary. sometimes it feels like "home" and I go in to the role of carer. But I really am enjoying it here and despite that they are really nice, warm hearted people. Work here is light and usually indoors as the snow is very deep and the temperature is about -12 when the sun is up. Every day is different, today we are cleaning out the cupboards, the other day we were peeling a crate load of apples and making various apple dishes. And they are kind enough to show me some of the local sites which wwoof hosts dont have to do.
Living is very basic here, its quite nice in a way although the toilet is annoying. It consists of a bucket with news paper and every time you take a dump you have to cover it with soil. the septic tank does not work hence the bucket. Although it is still better than the aweful loos in Romania! I am sleeping on a couch bed in the living room with a hand made screen, made from sticks and a sheet tied together with rope, for a door. I dont mind it, at least I have some privacy =) I am having fun here, I just feel I must be on gaurd all the time.
The house is heated by the wood stove in the kitchen, it gives the place a nice fresh smell but it doesnt circulate the heat very well. There is a big black long haired dog called Pedro who is obsessed with playing fetch or tormenting the two cats!
