Dizziness/anxiety or anxiety/dizziness

Just had a thought ( first this year ,Lol )
Is dizziness caused by anxiety or is the anxiety caused by the dizziness ?
Has anyone been prescribed Prochlorperazine and found it's relieved anxiety ?

Hi Decca, I was taking this for dizzyness and it does relieve anxiety in the short term; although it sometimes does not deal with the dizzyness:ohmy: I have found.

Trouble is , I dont think they are meant for long term use.

decca , it all depends on what is going on ,
in some people they have a underlying condition that causes dizziness that then brings on anxiety.
The best thing to do is to keep a diary of symptoms , when ,where , why and how ? Then see if a pattern is emerging.

Inner ear disorders , silent migraines and thyroid problems can cause dizziness everyday for some people.

Thanks for the reply and the link to a very informative website.
I'm afraid mine is an age thing ( everybody say awwwe,lol) and the side effects of my heart meds.
It's more a sort of wooziness rather than dizziness but it just made me wonder which came first the dizziness or the anxiety and I have to say it was the dizziness.
