I wrote this poem about 3 months ago for a competition. I didnt win but i thought i'd share it with you, let me know what you think.
An anxious state
We'll start with the time of my first attack,
Panic striken, shaking, sweat on my back,
the feelings of dread the fear of the worst
my heart beat was thumping, head ready to burst,
it came to a halt, my whole body in shock,
first thing in the morning, i must call the doc,
she gave me some pills, i was unsure to take,
i nervously necked one, my hands start to shake,
no change has come, after months of pills,
psychologists, therapy and all of the bills,
still the same after all of this time,
all i want is my life to be mine.
AGAIN.
