I'm new

Hello my name is Emma, i'm 36 and live with my partner and 3 children, 2 boys aged 9 an 7 and a daughter nearly 4. At the moment i'm a stay at home mum until my daughter starts school in September and then i'll be looking to find work in a school or nursery, hopefully. I have suffered from social anxiety for many years now and have anxiety attacks and low self esteem. I also had postnatal depression after the birth of my 2nd son and was prescribed prozac for this which really helped me.

Hi Emma, I'm Lesley, 41 and a single mum to Stacey 19, Courtney 10 and Kian 7, also Bradley my grandson aged 5 weeks! Welcome to the site. I also suffered with post-natal depression after having Courtney and had it for nearly 2 years. Very bad at first, but once the Prozac kicked in, I eventually got over it. I feared very much that I would get it with Kian but he was an absolute breeze.

Going back to work can be a daunting experience. I was lucky, as I work for a local authority so I just went off on maternity leave then returned and it seemed like I had never been away on my first day back.

I'm sure you will receive lots of good advice from so many nice people at NMP and good luck with everything.
