Hello everyone, my name is Tanya from Queensland Australia. I am 38 & have 2 kids 2 & 14 yrs old.
I am new today as searching the internet on B12 defficiency etc. I have just finished chemotherapy after bowel surgery. Today I had a 2nd B12 shot after learning I was defficient from my bowel not absorbing & that part being removed. I read some people talking about B12 defficiency, so I signed up.

Hello Tanya And Welcome I Get B12 Shots Also Just Started Last Month, I Know I Have A Messed Up Stomache But They Never Said Ibs But I Know It Is Since They Have No Test For It ...i Thot The B12 Was For My Nervous SYSTEM......SLOW METABOLISM............linda

My dad suffers from B12 defficiency which runs in his family. I make sure I always take a B12 supplement as well as other vitamins and minerals. I hope that you make a good recovery and stay positive.

Thanx for your kind words. Its good you are taking steps to prevent problems for yourself. I had never heard of it until I was diagnosed.
I try to stay positive but its hard when you just dont feel well all the time &being a single mun you get very tired yet alone having this. Anyway Ive been very welcomed on this site which is fantastic.

Thanx for welcoming me. I was diagnosed with IBS, then Chrones disease then finaly they found I had stage 2-3 bowel cancer & none of the above. Me being B12 defficient was originaly from my ilium being hardened & thickened. Ofcourse thats been removed along with lhalf my large bowel so now I cant absorb. They now think Ive been suffering for aprox 5yrs with unreversible symptoms. Im still learning about it & it does affect your nervous system as its affected mine. I truley hope it all goes well for you. Maybe we can try support each other.
