i was pregnant today really happy but scared at the same time dont wanna be to happy just incase something goes wrong so i find myself nearly having a panic attack why? i should just be happy

Hi - Congrats and how far on are you?

Remember it is natural to be anxious when you find out you are pregnant ... it's the mothering nature coming through. So try to accept that you will be anxious and this is not just because you are a person who suffers with anixety. All women get worried.

Pregnancy is fraught with worries but deep breathes and you have to go with the flow. Do the things you have to do to help baby be healthy but otherwise you have to let this ride. It is horrible if you concentrate on what can go wrong so try to take each day as it comes cos' each day baby gets stronger. And do tell your midwife so they can support you and help you.

Try to find ways to relax you for the pregnancy e.g. swimming, reflexlogy, lavender oils, relaxing baths ( but not too hot!) etc.... It will help you in the long run

It is entirely natural for you to be concerned-my wife had worries throughout all 3 pregnancies.These were not based on medical evidence but on natural motherly concern-being careful about diet,exercise,rest,not overdoing things.
You will be fine.
It would have been worse if you didn't know how you got pregnant:D
Enjoy your pregnancy.Cherish every moment of it and don't forget to make him indoors for putting you through this!!!
