Hello,
yeah know what u mean willitstop, been taking it now 6 weeks and have gone from on a rollercoaster ride with it. Generally though lightheadedness is a classic side effect and hopefully it should improve.
Alot of people taking it experience this. As u will see in the posts under medication on the forum.
As for it not working, well i'm giving it a go now on a high dose for another 2 months by then should know or not.
Maybe you could give it a bit longer or have the dose changed perhaps.
tis awful like waiting for a breakthrough to happen and disappointing if it doesn't.
Pills of course are not really the answer but when u are feeling desperate and have got to get on with life, can't live in limbo forever you get to a point where "anything goes" and "what the hell" sort of thing, and willing to try anything like clutching at straws.
Do take care and i hope it works out for you.xxx

Hi

I had my citalopram dose upped 3 weeks ago. I thought i was doing ok, but like u I feel spaced out and dizzy and feel like my anxiety is getting worse.

Everyone says give it a chance, its just the side effects of the meds.

They can take a while to get in your system, so try and hang on in there for a bit

take care

HI, my friend and I were both on this, I managed to stablize on 20mg, but she would feel better for a few weeks then she would feel bad again, she just needed her pills up till she settled ont he right dosage, for her which was 40mg, she is now coming off them after having a very good year.
