Anxiety Study

Hello,
At the Psychology Department at the University of Essex we are carrying out research that examines how a simple computer task may improve the anxiety that people experience. We are still at an experimental stage but the long term view of the research is to develop a simple computer based treatment.
The study entails travelling to the University of Essex for one session. This session consists of a series of questionnaires asking you about your anxiety and how you feel generally. Following this the main exercise will be to complete a series of computer tasks where you will be asked to make some judgements about faces appearing on a screen. You will then complete further questionnaires. Rest breaks are incorporated into the task and you may take as long as you wish. On average this takes approximately 2 ½ hours.

We can pay people for there time and reimburse travel expenses.
If you feel you would be interested in taking part please contact Kelly Garner or Anna Ridgewell on 01206 873784. Alternatively email clinstudy@essex.ac.uk.

It is very important that we get people who suffer with anxiety problems involved with this research. Please help us if you can.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!
